All I have been seeing on the news for the past week is news about this new wine flu. Will wine production be stopped to contain the outbreak, and do you think that wine imports will be restricted? Also, is red or white wine more contagious?

My Mom is in the Wine Business and she always brings home half empty bottles of wine and I always wonder What you do to make White Wine, and Red Wine. Do you add artificial coloring? Thanks!
I Never got around my mom to ask. She is always working.

I normally just use the wine specified as cooking wine but I’ve been told the regular (and even cheap) white wines taste better even in cooking. But, I wouldn’t use a lot at a time, and worry it would go bad while in the refrigerator for lengths of time.
